LP4Q President: The Genocidal War on Gaza has Turned the World Order into a Joke

Mr. Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, President of the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds, said that the genocidal war waged by the Israeli occupation against the Gaza Strip has turned the world order into a joke and made the system of universal values to which the West pays lip service sink into the tragedy of Gaza.
In his speech at the opening session of the League’s fifth conference held in Istanbul, Al-Ahmar stressed that the League has become the most prominent global parliamentary platform in defense of the Palestinian right and the symbolism of Jerusalem and its global status, as was reinforced by its membership in many continental and international parliamentary unions.
He asserted that the conference represents the largest parliamentary dialogue globally since the start of the Israeli genocidal war against the Palestinian people and with increasing indications of Israels determination to commit the storm Rafah to which more than a million Palestinians were forcefully displaced from other areas of the Strip.
“Since the launch of the League nine years ago, free parliamentarians from the Islamic world, Asia and Africa have joined it, with a dense presence in Latin America and a promising extension in Europe, and it has become a platform for them with their various affiliations, united by the common human instinct that supports justice and rejects the injustice and tyranny of the Israeli occupation of Palestine,” Al-Ahmar said.
He said that Israel, together with its allies, seeks to finalize the displacement project, by targeting UNRWA which is the last witness to the refugees and the right of return. He called for the revival of the League's conference, its seminars and parliamentary, legal and political dialogues and launching a global parliamentary movement to stop the genocidal war against the Gaza Strip in addition to retuning the Palestinian people to their land and holy sites.
Al-Ahmar emphasized the importance of launching a global alliance to revive the system of truth, justice, values and rational humanitarian principles.
He praised the Turkish positions, especially that of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, rejecting the war of extermination and the attempts to label the resistance of the Palestinian people as terrorism. He confirmed that “the honorable positions of Türkiye are too many to count, and although there is no room to enumerate the honorable positions of many other countries, we cannot bypass praising the courageous position of South Africa and its filing of the case against Israel before the International Court of Justice.”
On Friday, the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds launched its fifth international parliamentary conference in Istanbul under the auspices of the Turkish Parliament, titled “Freedom and Independence for Palestine.”
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş, and more than 700 parliamentarians from 80 countries, in addition to official, international and Turkish figures, are participating in the three-day conference.
