The President of the League discusses with the Speaker of the Djiboutian Parliament the developments of the Palestinian issue

The President of the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine, Mr. Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, met with the Speaker of the Djibouti National Assembly, Dileita Mohamed Dileita, as part of the parliamentary league's efforts to support the Palestinian cause regionally and internationally.

During the meeting, the President of the league expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation for Djibouti's steadfast and honorable positions regarding the Palestinian issue, affirming that Djibouti has been and continues to be a supportive state of the Palestinian right in international and parliamentary forums.

The latest developments related to the issue were discussed during the meeting, especially the genocide war on Gaza and the escalating attacks on the occupied city of Jerusalem, and the political and humanitarian developments it is facing.

The President of the league emphasized the importance of unifying regional and international efforts to stabilize the ceasefire in Gaza, lift the blockade, ensure no return to war, and begin reconstruction efforts to enhance the resilience of the people in the region.

He affirmed that the time has come to establish a free and independent Palestinian state on all its territories, pointing out that achieving true peace requires full recognition of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to self-determination and the establishment of their state with its capital in Jerusalem.

The President of the league also praised the active and constructive role of the Djibouti National Assembly in supporting the league's activities and events and its continuous support for the legitimate Palestinian right in all parliamentary platforms..

This visit is part of a series of meetings held by the league with Arab, African, and international parliaments to enhance the international parliamentary solidarity movement with Palestine and support efforts aimed at protecting the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.
