The League receives a delegation from the Palestinian-Turkish Parliamentary Friendship Committee in the National Council

The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine received a delegation from the Palestinian-Turkish Parliamentary Friendship Committee in the Palestinian National Council at its headquarters, led by Deputy Mazen Al-Hasasneh, Chairman of the Committee, to discuss ways to enhance mutual cooperation and coordinate efforts to support the Palestinian cause in international forums.

The delegation was welcomed by the League's President Mr. Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, the Secretary-General of the League, Dr. Mohammad Makram Balawi, and the Assistant President of the League, Bashir Djarallah.

Al-Ahmar welcomed the committee delegation, emphasizing the importance of constant communication and coordination with various parliamentary bodies supporting Palestine, stressing that the Palestinian cause represents the cause of every free person in the world, and requires unifying parliamentary voices and efforts to present a clear image to the world, especially in the Turkish and international arenas.

Al-Ahmar pointed out that the League acts as a coordinating body bringing together parliamentarians supporting Jerusalem and Palestine, seeking to unify parliamentary action and integrate efforts to strengthen political positions rejecting occupation and supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

He also emphasized the importance of cooperation between the League and the Friendship Committee, explaining that joint activities will be organized, experiences exchanged, and communication maintained with Arab, Islamic, and international parliaments.

On his part, Deputy Mazen Al-Hasasneh affirmed that the struggle against occupation is not specific to a particular faction or entity, but rather a struggle waged by the Palestinian people and the entire nation, along with all liberation forces in the world, emphasizing the importance of uniting all parliamentary, media, and popular voices in supporting this struggle.

Al-Hasasneh praised the active role played by the League in supporting the cause, conveying its voice to international parliaments and bodies, appreciating its efforts in promoting the Palestinian narrative and engaging with the new generations.

At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue mutual coordination and cooperation, and enhance the Palestinian-Turkish and international parliamentary partnership, serving the objectives of defending Jerusalem and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people in international forums.
