The Latin Palestinian Forum organizes an event on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People at the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies.

The Latin Palestinian Forum organized a political seminar yesterday inside the State Parliament of Sao Paulo, Brazil, on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, in partnership with the Parliamentary League for Jerusalem and Palestine, Brazilian Deputy Monica Seixas, and Brazilian Deputy Maurici.

The forum explained that the event comes in the "most dangerous phase" that the Palestinian people are going through, at a time when the genocide war, ethnic cleansing policies, and widespread destruction of civilian infrastructure continue, including homes, hospitals, and schools.

It added that "hosting this seminar under the dome of the Brazilian Parliament is an important step in opening the doors of legislative institutions to the Palestinian reality, confirming that the responsibility of the international community has not ended, and standing by a people facing occupation and oppression for decades is a moral and humanitarian duty."

On their part, several participating deputies affirmed that the Brazilian Parliament holds "an ethical and political responsibility in defending the rights of oppressed peoples," emphasizing the importance of enhancing the parliamentary role in raising voices against the crimes committed against Palestinians, and the necessity of protecting the principles of justice and human rights in Brazil's foreign policy.

The forum extended a general invitation to the Arab and Muslim communities and all supporters of the Palestinian cause in Brazil to participate in this political event, aimed at raising public awareness and supporting parliamentary efforts against the occupation.
