League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine Welcomes G20 Summit's Call to End the Genocide in the Gaza Strip

The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine welcomes the call from G20 leaders for a comprehensive ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon, issued at the conclusion of the group's summit held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The League calls on the summit countries to fulfill their moral and legal responsibilities and take concrete steps to pressure the Israeli occupation to implement relevant international resolutions. It also urges countries that support the occupation to stop aiding the genocide and to respect this humanitarian call.

The League emphasizes the urgent need to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip to ensure the saving of civilian lives, especially children, women, and the elderly, in addition to allowing the immediate and safe return of displaced persons to their homes.
