Morocco’s PJD calls for forming parliamentary lobby for Palestine

The Justice and Development Party (PJD), which leads the Moroccan coalition government, on Tuesday called for forming a parliamentary action group to advocate the Palestinian cause.
This came in a letter sent from the party to president of the House of Representatives Habib el Malki.
The party stressed the need to take swift steps to create the action group, especially since all parliamentary blocs call for defending the Palestinian cause, and suggested naming “Hall 11” in the chamber as “Hall of Jerusalem”.
Several Moroccan cities have recently witnessed massive protests against the US recognition of Occupied Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
