The Executive Committee of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds and Palestine held a virtual meeting to discuss several pivotal issues related to supporting the rights of the Palestinian people and enhancing international parliamentary solidarity, plans for displacement, and developments in the Palestinian cause.
During the opening of the meeting, the head of the League, Mr. Hamid bin Abdallah Al-Ahmar emphasized the necessity of Arab, Islamic, and international action to support the rights of Palestinians and to confront the ongoing violations against them.
Al-Ahmar stressed the League's absolute rejection of any attempts to resolve the Palestinian issue, whether through "Trump's plan" to displace the residents of Gaza, or through policies of forced displacement and settlement.
The meeting included a detailed report on the situation in Gaza and the effects of the genocide war, in addition to highlighting the repeated assaults on camps in the West Bank.
The meeting also reviewed the outcomes of the previous meeting, the latest activities and meetings held by the League, and the support for the role of women and youth in the Palestinian struggle.
It was agreed to organize events, seminars, and mini-conferences to enhance global parliamentary solidarity with Palestine, in addition to discussing preparations for a visit to the Indonesian Parliament, proposing future visits to several international parliaments, and preparing for the upcoming conference of the League.
