League President Expresses Condolences to the Emir of Qatar and the Speaker of the Shura Council on the Passing of the Father Emir

The President of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds and Palestine, Mr. Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, sent official letters of condolence and sympathy to His Highness Mr. Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, and His Excellency Mr. Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council, on the passing of the late Father Emir, His Highness Mr. Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

In his message to the Emir of Qatar, Mr. Al-Ahmar expressed, on his own behalf and on behalf of all member parliamentarians of the League from various continents, his most sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the honorable ruling family and the brotherly Qatari people during this immense loss.

The President of the League recalled the late leader's rich legacy of dedication and service, during which he spearheaded the renaissance of the modern State of Qatar. He emphasized that the Palestinian people, as well as the Arab and Islamic nations, will never forget the Father Emir’s courageous, historic, and steadfast positions in supporting the resilience of the Palestinian people, and his continuous, unwavering support for the Gaza Strip under the most challenging circumstances.

In his letter to the Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council, Mr. Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar shared the grief of the Council members and the Qatari people over the loss of the architect of modern Qatar's renaissance. He praised his tireless efforts in championing just causes, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause, where he served as a voice of truth, a steadfast pillar of support for the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle, and an unyielding defender of their rights in Jerusalem and all of Palestine.

The League concluded its letters with prayers to the Almighty to grant the late leader of the nation His vast mercy, to dwell him in His spacious paradise, to bestow patience and solace upon the Qatari leadership and the brotherly people, and to sustain the blessings of security, stability, and prosperity for the State of Qatar under its wise leadership.
