On the Sidelines of the PUIC Conference in Baku.. The League Organizes a Dinner Banquet for Participating Parliamentary Delegations to Coordinate Cooperation

The League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds and Palestine organized an official dinner banquet on the sidelines of its delegation's participation in the 20th session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC), held in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku.

The meeting witnessed a notable attendance and high-level participation from parliamentary delegations representing several Islamic, African, and Arab countries. The event included a comprehensive presentation to introduce the League, review its prominent activities, goals, and the structure of its regional leagues, through which it seeks to mobilize global parliamentary support for the Palestinian cause.

In his welcoming speech, the President of the League, Mr. Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, expressed his deep gratitude to the participating delegations for accepting the invitation. He emphasized that the League was fundamentally established to serve as a platform for lawmakers, network among them, and unify their efforts to support the just Palestinian cause.

The President stressed the inclusivity and universality of this platform, stating that "the League engages and opens up to all free parliamentarians of various races, nationalities, and religions, out of its belief in the humanitarian dimension and absolute justice of the Palestinian cause."

For his part, the Director General of the League, Dr. Mohammad Makram Balawi, explained that the League represents "a strong bridge connecting parliamentarians from all over the world to unify and direct their energies to serve this central and humanitarian cause."

Balawi affirmed that the League places all its capabilities at the disposal of parliamentarians, noting its permanent and continuous readiness to provide them with specialized human rights reports, accurate information, and supportive services that contribute to strengthening their positions and actions in support of Palestine.

In their speeches and interventions, the heads and representatives of the participating parliamentary delegations praised the League's efforts and its pioneering role in aligning the parliamentary compass. They all confirmed their complete readiness for joint coordination and to exert all possible efforts to serve the Palestinian cause.

The delegations reiterated their steadfast commitment to supporting the resilience of the Palestinian people through two parallel tracks: activating the cause within the halls of their national parliaments, and intensifying unified action and pressure in all parliamentary and international forums alike.
