League President Meets Presidents of Senate and House of Representatives, and Chair of Parliamentary Palestine Committee in Jordan

AMMAN — The President of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds and Palestine, Mr. Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, held a series of official meetings in the Jordanian capital, Amman, with the President of the Jordanian Senate, His Excellency Faisal Al-Fayez; the Speaker of the House of Representatives, His Excellency Mazen Al-Qadi; and the Chairman of the Parliamentary Palestine Committee, the Honorable MP Suleiman Al-Saoud. The discussions focused on ways to enhance joint parliamentary cooperation and mobilize regional and international efforts to support the Palestinian cause and counter Israeli occupation plans.

During these meetings, Mr. Hamid Al-Ahmar emphasized that the Israeli occupation's continuous attempts to undermine and infringe upon the Hashemite Custodianship do not merely represent a political violation. Rather, they constitute a dangerous phase within a comprehensive Israeli strategy aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause, seizing full control of the Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, and paving the way for the displacement of the remaining steadfast Palestinian people.

The League President stressed that "Parliamentarians for Al-Quds and Palestine" is utilizing its full leverage and working tirelessly across all forums to mobilize the support of all Arab and Islamic parliaments and governments. This effort aims to uphold Jordan's exclusive and historic right to the custodianship of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, and to stand as an impenetrable barrier against Judaization plans.

Al-Ahmar and his accompanying delegation extended their warmest congratulations to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the state's independence, praising Jordan's journey of development and the prominent Arab and international standing it has achieved under its wise Hashemite leadership.

The talks also touched upon the deep strategic relationship binding the League with both houses of the Jordanian Parliament (the Senate and the House of Representatives). Al-Ahmar expressed his deep gratitude to the Jordanian parliamentary chambers for their close cooperation and gracious hosting of previous parliamentary events organized by the League, reaffirming the centrality of the Jordanian role in supporting Palestine.

The meetings concluded with a total consensus on the importance of maintaining joint coordination between the League and the Jordanian Parliament, intensifying diplomatic and parliamentary efforts, and unifying positions to serve the central cause of the nation.

At the conclusion of the visit, Mr. Hamid Al-Ahmar extended official invitations to the Presidents of the Senate and the House of Representatives, as well as the Chairman of the Palestine Committee, to attend and participate in the upcoming International Parliamentary Conference. The League intends to convene this conference in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan before the end of this year, aiming to strengthen the global parliamentary front supporting Palestinian rights.
