The League's Secretary-General Participates in the Third Conference of Palestinians in Turkey in Istanbul

The Secretary-General of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds and Palestine, Dr. Mohammad Makram Balawi, participated in the proceedings of the "Third Conference of Palestinians in Turkey" held in Istanbul. The event coincided with major activities commemorating the 78th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba.

This participation falls within the framework of the League's ongoing commitment to supporting and backing the efforts of the Palestinian diaspora, and enhancing the role of parliamentary and popular diplomacy in defending the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

During his participation, Balawi emphasized the strategic importance of combined international and institutional efforts, particularly at this critical and pivotal historical juncture, to confront the ongoing war of genocide.

He stressed the need to utilize all legal and parliamentary platforms to isolate the occupation and hold it accountable for its crimes. He noted that the Right of Return represents a historical and legal constant that is not subject to a statute of limitations, and that Palestinians abroad constitute an advanced and essential front in keeping the cause alive and impactful within the global consciousness.

On the sidelines of the conference, the League's Secretary-General held a series of meetings with several parliamentary, legal, and community figures. Discussions focused on mechanisms for developing joint action, expanding the scope of international advocacy movements, and coordinating legal and political efforts.
