The President of the Arab Parliament, Algerian Parliament Speaker Ibrahim Bougali, denounced the statements made by the US Ambassador to the occupation, Mike Hacaby, describing them as "absurd statements that constitute a blatant violation of diplomatic norms, clear bias towards aggression and occupation, as well as a flagrant violation of international law and UN resolutions.".
Bougali expressed in a statement "strong condemnation and unequivocal rejection of irresponsible statements claiming that it is acceptable for the Zionist entity to control the entire Middle East, including the occupied West Bank," noting that "these statements constitute a serious violation of the principle of respecting the sovereignty of states and the stability of the region, and directly undermine the rights and dignity of the Arab peoples."".
He clarified that these statements "contradict the position announced by the President of the United States in rejecting the annexation of the West Bank, and are inconsistent with the international commitments of the United States as a permanent member of the Security Council," pointing out that the Arab Parliament emphasizes that "the dominance of power and the legitimacy of occupation cannot establish peace or security in the region, but rather increase tension and deepen hostility and instability."".
