The Malaysian Parliamentary Caucus for Palestine submits recommendations to the government to enhance its supportive stance towards Palestine

The head of the Malaysian Parliamentary Caucus for Palestine, and member of the Executive Committee of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds and Palestine, Deputy Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh, said that the caucus has presented a set of recommendations to the government of his country aimed at enhancing Malaysia's official position in supporting the Palestinian cause and opposing Israeli occupation policies.

Syed Ibrahim further explained that the recommendations were conveyed to Foreign Minister Mohammad Hassan, urging the government to conduct a comprehensive review of trade relations, investments, and maritime activities in the country to ensure they are free from any direct or indirect ties to Israeli entities or companies operating under the jurisdiction of the occupation.

He also emphasized the need to enact legislation that regulates Malaysia's stance against any form of dealings with the Israeli regime, ensuring that government companies and their subsidiaries are free from any links to entities involved in genocide or suppression against the Palestinian people.

Syed Noh called on the Foreign Ministry to reactivate the "Ops Ihsan" operation as the official and coordinated channel for providing humanitarian aid from Malaysia to Palestine, reaffirming Kuala Lumpur's steadfast and continuous commitment to supporting the Palestinians.

He also called for the official and consistent adoption of the term "genocide" in diplomatic statements and communications addressing Israeli crimes in Palestinian territories, considering it as solidifying Malaysia's ethical and legal position in international forums.
