The League receives the Acting Secretary-General of the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad and Deputy Director General of the "al-Quds International Foundation

The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine received Hisham Abu Mahfouz, Acting Secretary-General of the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad, and Ayman Zidan, Deputy Director-General of al-Quds International Foundation, as part of enhancing consultation and coordination among institutions working to serve the Palestinian cause, and unifying parliamentary and popular efforts supporting Palestine.
Welcoming the delegation were Mr. Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, President of the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine, Dr. Mohammad Makram Balawi, Secretary-General of the League, and the Assistant to the President of the League, Bashir Djarallah.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, President of the League, welcomed the delegation, praising the role played by Palestinian institutions abroad in supporting the resilience of the Palestinian people, and raising awareness of their plight in international forums, emphasizing that the League works to enhance communication with various institutions and entities supporting Palestine, to be a unifying umbrella coordinating efforts and uniting the parliamentary voice.

On his part, Hisham Abu Mahfouz emphasized the importance of unifying efforts and pooling them under one umbrella encompassing all components supporting the Palestinian cause, stressing that no effort should be underestimated in advocating for Palestine, calling for the formation of a broad international front where political, parliamentary, and popular energies converge to serve the cause.

Abu Mahfouz also pointed out that the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad seeks joint work and activation of cooperation channels between Palestinian, Arab, and Islamic institutions, to enhance the effectiveness of the Palestinian discourse worldwide, affirming that no arena of work should remain devoid of effort to serve Palestine.

Ayman Zidan, Deputy Director-General of the al-Quds International Foundation, praised the efforts of the League in conveying the voice of Jerusalem to international parliaments, emphasizing the importance of continuing work despite the political constraints facing activities supporting Palestine in some parliamentary arenas, and enhancing the coordination formula among entities working in the service of the Palestinian cause, ensuring the integration of roles and unity of message.

At the end of the meeting, the attendees agreed to continue consultation and coordination, and work on organizing joint initiatives and practical programs that combine parliamentary, media, and popular work, contributing to strengthening the Palestinian presence in international arenas, and consolidating joint efforts to defend Jerusalem and the just rights of the Palestinian people.
