The League calls on the heads of parliaments to act to protect the "Global Sumud Flotilla"

The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine has called on the heads of parliaments around the world to take urgent action to protect the participants in the "Global Sumud Flotilla" heading to the Gaza Strip, especially as it includes deputies from various countries.

The flotilla includes parliamentarians from several countries, including members of the league, with the aim of breaking the Israeli blockade imposed on Gaza and demanding an end to the genocidal war on Gaza.

In a message addressed to the heads of parliaments, the League expressed its concern over the repeated Israeli attacks on previous humanitarian convoys and fleets, warning that any threat or attack on the participating deputies constitutes a "serious violation of their parliamentary status and the popular will they represent".

The international community bears full responsibility for the safety of parliamentarians and activists, affirming that their participation in this humanitarian action is not only in support of the Palestinian people, but also reflects the defense of human values, justice, and the right of peoples to freedom and dignity.

A member of the executive committee of the League and a member of the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies, Luizianne Lins, announced her participation in the "Global Sumud Flotilla" heading to Gaza to break the Israeli blockade and demand an end to the genocidal war in the region.
