The Malaysian Parliamentary Caucus for Palestine welcomes the announcement of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza

The Chairman of the Malaysian Parliamentary Caucus for Palestine and member of the Executive Committee of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds and Palestine, Deputy Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh, welcomed, on behalf of the committee, the approval of the proposal presented by US President Donald Trump to cease fire in Gaza, considering it a positive step towards achieving a comprehensive ceasefire and preparing the ground for peace efforts.

The Deputy explained in a press statement that the proposed agreement represents the first phase of a ceasefire plan, including essential elements to restore stability and alleviate the suffering of Palestinian civilians.

He reiterated his steadfast support for the Palestinian people's struggle for self-determination and justice, commending Malaysia's government for its firm diplomatic stance on the Palestinian issue, urging it to continue its active role in regional and international efforts to end the crisis.

Deputy Syed Ibrahim called on the Israeli occupation to refrain from any actions that would hinder the peace process or prolong the suffering of civilians, affirming that Malaysian parliamentarians stand in solidarity with all efforts that uphold the principles of peace, justice, and humanity.
