Amnesty International: Israel Committing Genocide Live on Air in Gaza

Amnesty International’s Secretary General, Agnès Callamard, has stated that Israeli occupation forces are committing genocide live on air in the Gaza Strip.

In a recent report, Callamard affirmed that the organization has documented Israel’s acts of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. She explained that Israel’s system of apartheid and illegal occupation in the West Bank has escalated into increasingly violent acts.

She added, “The world has watched—seemingly paralyzed—as Israel killed thousands of Palestinian men, women, and children, carried out massacres against entire families, and destroyed homes, hospitals, and educational institutions.”

Callamard also pointed to the intensifying attacks on the International Criminal Court (ICC) in recent months, following its issuance of provisional measures in the case brought by South Africa against Israel, as well as its advisory opinion declaring Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem, to be illegal.

She stressed that all governments must do everything within their power to support international justice, hold perpetrators accountable, and protect the ICC and its staff from reprisals and sanctions.
