French MP: Lawmakers and Officials Who Expressed Support for Israel Are Complicit in the Genocide in Gaza

Members of the left-wing opposition party "La France Insoumise" raised banners bearing images of children killed by the Israeli occupation in the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip during a session of the French National Assembly (parliament).

During the session, "La France Insoumise" MP Aymeric Caron stated that Gaza is turning into something resembling Nazi concentration camps, noting that around 20,000 Palestinian children have been killed in Israeli attacks, and that modern history has not witnessed a similar case where such a large number of children have been killed "in such a sadistic manner."

Caron added that Palestinian children are being burned, crushed, torn apart, beheaded, shot in the head, have their limbs amputated without anesthesia, and are imprisoned. He accused French MPs and officials who visited Israel and expressed support for the occupation government of being "complicit in the crime" against civilians in Gaza.

During his speech, Caron displayed a photo of Bisan Al-Hindi, a young girl killed in an airstrike while she was sleeping last March, saying, "Look at this face, look at all these faces around me—these are the faces of our guilty conscience."

He was then joined by several of his party’s MPs, who displayed banners inside the National Assembly bearing images of children killed in Gaza.

For her part, National Assembly President Yaël Braun-Pivet objected, claiming that raising banners in the chamber "violates the regulations."
