LP4Q CONDEMNS THE OPENING OF DIPLOMATIC OFFICES IN OCCUPIED JERUSALEM BY CZECH REPUBLIC AND KOSOVO

The League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds (LP4Q) condemns the Czech Republic and the Republic of Kosovo for opening their countries' embassy offices in the occupied city of Jerusalem.

LP4Q reiterates that this move is contrary to the provisions of international law, in particular Security Council Resolutions 476, 478 and 2334, all of which affirm that East Jerusalem is an occupied territory to which all relevant provisions of international law apply.

LP4Q stresses that any decisions or actions aimed at changing the status of the city of Jerusalem are illegal and must be stopped and opposed. It also calls on the members of the Czech and Kosovar parliaments to put pressure on the governments of the two countries to withdraw this illegal and wrong step and to respect the historical and legal status of Jerusalem.
