The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine Welcomes the Launch of the "Hague Group" and Affirms the Importance of International Efforts to End the Occupation
The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine warmly welcomes the announcement of the launch of the "Hague Group," which includes nine countries as an international alliance seeking to end the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories and support the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state in accordance with international legitimacy.
The League affirms that the establishment of this alliance represents an important step towards achieving justice for the Palestinian people and enhancing international legal and diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the occupation, in line with international laws and resolutions, particularly those of the United Nations and the International Court of Justice.
The League emphasizes that the continuation of the occupation constitutes a blatant violation of human rights and international law, which necessitates decisive international measures to end the injustice faced by the Palestinian people. It also calls on governments and parliaments around the world to support this initiative, strengthen its efforts, and work together to end the Israeli occupation and fulfill the Palestinian people's aspirations for freedom and independence.
As a global parliamentary gathering defending the legitimate Palestinian rights, the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine reaffirms its commitment to working with various international and regional entities to support the efforts of the "Hague Group" and other international initiatives aimed at achieving lasting justice and peace in Palestine.
