The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine Warns of the Dangers of the Occupation State’s Announcement of a Ground Offensive in Lebanon

The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine condemns the Israeli occupation’s escalation of its aggression against Lebanon and the violation of its sovereignty, the latest of which is the occupation army’s announcement of a ground operation in southern Lebanon.

The League reiterates that it has consistently warned that the Israeli occupation’s aggressive behavior will lead to an expansion of the conflict, eliminate any chance for peace, and turn the region into a battleground for major powers.

The League stresses that Israel’s impunity will result in even more bloody chapters than we have witnessed so far. More than ever, the world must intervene to address the root cause of the problem, which is the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories, the aggression against the Palestinian people, and the disregard of their historical rights.

We, at the League, believe that the solution to this dilemma lies in adhering to international law and resolutions, ensuring equal treatment for all, and no longer allowing Israel to act above the law.

The League calls on international organizations to fulfill their duties and prevent the occupation from dragging the world into a tragedy too great to bear.
