The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine condemns the occupation's assassination of Palestinian leader Ismail Haniyeh

The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine condemns the Israeli occupation's assassination of the Palestinian national leader and former Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, in the Iranian capital Tehran, at the hands of the occupied Israeli entity led by war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu, who is wanted by international justice for charges of genocide and crimes against humanity.

While the League strongly condemns this heinous crime in the strongest terms, it considers it a serious violation of all international norms and red lines upon which the international community is based.

This blatant aggression and this heinous crime come as a result of Israel's sense of immunity from international law, and its ability to commit crimes without accountability or punishment due to its constant evasion of justice.

The League stresses that what happened should be an additional reason for the international community to review its policies and abandon its absolute partnership and support for this terrorist entity, which must be immediately brought to international justice to receive its deserved punishment for its crimes that violate all human values and principles.

In the face of this horrific crime that aims to ignite the fuse of a world war, the League calls on all humanitarian governments and various international, regional and local parliamentary institutions to take all political, parliamentary and legal measures to hold accountable and punish this occupying entity, which no longer pays attention to all international resolutions, norms and appeals.
