LP4Q in Morocco: Israeli Knesset Speaker's visit to Rabat is an insult to the parliament and the Moroccan people

Members of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds in the kingdom of Morocco condemned the visit of the Speaker of the Israeli occupation Knesset to the Moroccan parliament.

During the meeting of the league's members in Morocco, current and former parliamentarians considered the visit an insult to the Moroccan parliament, MPs and moroccan people, its ancient history and its continuous struggles in support of Jerusalem and Palestine, stressing the positions of the Moroccan parliament throughout history and its solidarity initiatives in support of the rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

He called on the members of the House of Representatives, the House of councillors, political parties and national trade unions to continue to support Jerusalem and the Palestinian cause and counter the wave of normalization with the occupation from the gate of the parliament as the symbolic representative of the popular will and the expression of the pulse of citizens and their aspirations.

They stressed that normalization with the occupation is a mirage that will not benefit anything, and that the history of this usurping entity is the history of the violation of international covenants and charters.

On Friday, Israeli Knesset (parliament) speaker Amir Ohana completed a two-day visit to Morocco, the first by a Knesset speaker, with the aim of enhancing cooperation between the two sides.

The speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives, Rachid Talebi Alami, held talks with Amir Ohana at the council's headquarters in Rabat, on ways to strengthen bilateral relations, where they signed a memorandum of understanding that includes the development of parliamentary relations at the legislative level and other areas of parliamentary work.
