A delegation from the European Parliament was attacked in Hebron

The delegation of the European Parliament, headed by Nicholas Selekiotis, who is visiting Palestine hosted by the Legislative Council between 18/9/2017 and 21/9/2017, was attacked by the Israeli occupation forces during his visit to Hebron on Wednesday, where Israeli occupation soldiers fired them with tear gas and metal bullets.
The Israeli occupation forces also besieged the delegation for a period of more than two hours in the Al Natsheh building in Hebron. The security officer from the members of the Legislative Council accompanying the delegation was injured with moderate injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
In a related context, the body of blocs and parliamentary lists in the Palestinian Legislative Council condemned this fierce attack by the Israeli occupation soldiers, which recorded an explicit violation of the international diplomatic laws and the immunities and privileges enjoyed by members of the European Parliament.
It called on international institutions, the international community and the European Parliament in particular to intervene and confront the Israeli government and obligate it to abide by international standards and ethics, respect diplomatic and parliamentary immunities and the principles of international and diplomatic law.
