Lieberman reveals "comprehensive security plan" for settlement

Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman called for the implementation of a comprehensive security plan to ensure the continuation of settlements in the Palestinian territories. He said that it would be the “real protective wall of the State of Israel.”
“Since 2000, the settlements have not seen large-scale construction work, as is happening now,” Lieberman was quoted as saying by Channel Seven television on Hebrew television. He revealed during a tour of the Jordan Valley on Sunday that a comprehensive security plan for the settlement would be completed by mid-November.
Lieberman called on the settlers to raise their money for the purpose of supporting settlement activity, saying that “The Israeli Ministry of Defense does not have a budget to finance the construction of bypass roads, the construction of lighting networks and other works,”.
Lieberman announced several days ago that the Israeli government had approved the construction of 1,400 new settlement units in the West Bank during the first half of this year and marketed 10,000 more.
The approval of the construction of settlement units in the West Bank is the prerogative of the Israeli Defense Ministry.
