Abu Halabiya: The occupation authorities have no right to control Al-Aqsa’s administration and facilities

MP Ahmad Abu Halabiya, head of the Jerusalem International Foundation, said that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is a pure Islamic landmark and that the Islamic Waqf is the only authority authorized to run its affairs, and that the occupation authorities do not have the right to intervene in its administration and in the affairs of its facilities.
He considered the decision of the so-called commander of the Israeli police for the definitive closure of the building of Bab al-Rahma a blatant intervention aimed at the gradual control of the facilities of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
He also pointed out that this building was originally closed by a decision of the Israeli police since 2003, and the closure order is renewed annually for one year by a decision of the Inspector General of the Israeli Police without any right in violation of all international conventions.
Abu Halabiya considered the decision unfair and based not on any legal model, but on the pretext of flimsy, and demanded the Jerusalemites and the Jordanian Endowments Department to address and not accept it.
