Palestinian MP: Occupation tries to create a new reality paving the way for the annex of the West Bank and Jerusalem

Palestinian Legislative Council member Qais Abdul Karim said that the Israeli government’s decision to build 4,000 settlement units in the vicinity of occupied Jerusalem is an attempt to create a new reality on the ground that will pave the way for the annexation of the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem.
“The decision to build thousands of new settlement units is a flagrant violation of the real intentions of the occupation government, which is working around the clock to Judaize the land and pass its plans,” he said.
The MP explained that “the occupation government continues its efforts to pass plans to isolate the city of Jerusalem from its surroundings, and expand the limits of what it calls ‘Greater Jerusalem’, where this new settlement project coincides with the demolitions and deportations practiced in the holy city.
He pointed out that these decisions reveal the futility of the policy based on waiting for the development of the position of the United States towards what is happening, and affirms its full bias towards the Israeli position.
