The occupation removes the "gates" and replaces them with smart cameras at the entrances of Al-Aqsa

The Zionist occupation forces replaced the electronic gates at the entrances of Al-Aqsa Mosque with thermal cameras and a new mechanism to inspect and monitor worshipers who wish to pray at Al-Aqsa, which the Jerusalemites rejected.
After yesterday midnight and dawn of today Tuesday, the Israeli occupation forces began sweeping and uprooting the historic trees in the vicinity of the Asbat Gate, removing historic stones and carrying out a series of new installations to build a network of thermal cameras placed on poles.
The correspondent of the Palestinian Information Center that the occupation forces installed columns with thermal cameras on all doors of Al-Aqsa Mosque, where they laid ground in the door of the tribes and Al-Ghazali Square after the uprooting of trees and the removal of stones in these places.
He added that the electronic gates were removed from the gates, while the system will be replaced by a manual machine used by soldiers.
For their part, the Jerusalemites expressed their rejection of any steps taken by the occupation, where violent confrontations broke out.
The occupation closed all the streets surrounding the old town from Asbat north to Wadi al-Jawz and south towards Ras al-Amud to prevent citizens from reaching the gates of al-Aqsa at dawn prayers.
In confirmation of their rejection of the occupation’s policies even after the removal of the gates, the Jerusalemites led the dawn prayers in the streets leading to the Al-Aqsa, refusing to enter under these procedures.
The Jerusalem religious authorities announced a meeting on Tuesday to issue a clear position on the new steps in Al-Aqsa.
