MP Abu Arar: "The demolition of the sit-in tent in Wadi al-Naam is aimed at silencing the voice of right

The Israeli police forces demolished the sit-in tent in Wadi al-Naam, on Wednesday, that residents built in protest against the Israeli government’s policy of demolition, displacement and evictions against the Arab population in the Naqab area.
In this context, the Arab MP in the Knesset Taleb Abu Arar said, “I am not surprised by this stupid and despicable behavior by the state institutions, whose policy is to silence the voice of the right against racist policies against the Arab population in the Naqab, such as the policies of demolition and displacement.”
“The protest tent will be built again by the local committee in Wadi al-Naam, and we will work to ensure that the tent is not demolished again,” said Abu Arar. “Our struggle in the Naqab continues against the authority to” settle the Bedouins “and against the policies of the government”.
MP Abu Arar concluded by: “We say with a loud voice that they are destroying and we are building, their unjust policies will not work for them. We are right holders. The right must prevail no matter how long it takes, and we must work together on all levels to stop the house demolitions and to push for recognition of the right of the Arab citizens of the South to recognize them and their villages officially and give them the opportunity to develop and blossom like the villages and Jewish cities in the region.
