The head of the Palestinian-European Communication Forum, Zaher Birawi, called on members of the British House of Commons to play an active and balanced role in the Palestinian cause.

   This came in a letter sent by Birawi to all the members who succeeded in the last general elections which took place on the eighth of this month.

   He urged them to work hard from their various positions to push for peace in the Middle East by restoring the rights of Palestinians suffering under Israeli occupation.

   He stressed that continuous communication with deputies comes within the policy of the Forum in building bridges of communication with European communities and decision-makers in Europe to achieve a balance in the European perception of the Palestinian cause, and to achieve a greater understanding of Palestinian rights and their suffering under occupation.
