Formation of the Canada-Palestine Parliamentary Friendship Group

The Canadian-Palestinian Parliamentary Friendship Group was formed at the headquarters of the Canadian Parliament in Ottawa on Friday. The Parliamentary Friendship Group was established on the official website of the Canadian Parliament.
In the presence of members representing most of the Canadian parties, the friendship group was formed, and MP Marwan Tabbara was elected as Chairman of the Friendship Group. Tabbara’s choice came as the head of the parliamentary group, where parliamentary friendship groups have traditionally been headed by a parliamentary member of the ruling party – the liberal party in this case -.
Two Vice-Chairmen of the Parliamentary Friendship Group between Canada and Palestine were chosen, who are the new Democratic Party representative, Mr. Alexander Buloriz, and the representative of “le bloc quebecois” Party, Mr. Mario Pollio. And with the return of the Canadian Parliament to work after the end of the summer vacation, the Parliamentary Friendship Group of Canada-Palestine begins its activities.
The movement and the formation of the parliamentary friendship group Canada-Palestine was initiated by the MP for new Democratic Party Alexander Buloriz and coordinated with the Palestinian General Commission in Canada.
