A pause by MPs of the European Parliament in support of Palestine

A number of deputies of the European Union’s left-wing group participated in a pause in the French parliament in Strasbourg, in support of Palestine.
These deputies raised flags of Palestine during the stand, and the slogan of 50 years of the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.
In a statement issued on the occasion of the Nakba and the occupation of Jerusalem, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, the group referred to Israeli practices that contravene international conventions, human rights and the Geneva Conventions.
They spoke about the forcible transfer of the population and the construction of more than 125 settlements, with the transfer of 650,000 settlers to impose a policy of fait accompli, control of natural resources, water and the blockade of  Gaza, occupation of the Golan and construction of the Apartheid Wall.
The statement compared the policy of separation with the apartheid policy pursued by South Africa, calling on the international community to unite to end this occupation.
The parliamentarian group called on the European Union to suspend the partnership agreement between him and “Israel” and not to import products of settlements, stressing the eligibility of the Palestinian people’s struggle for freedom, justice and equality.
