Ahmed Bahr, the first deputy chairman of the Palestinian Legislative Council, condemned the occupation measures against the city of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque. Bahr confirmed in a press release issued by the Legislative Information Office on Sunday, June 4, which marks the anniversary of the occupation of the eastern part of the city of Jerusalem that all the Judaization procedures adopted by the occupation government will not succeed in obliterating the Islamic reality of Jerusalem and will not falsify Arab history.

   He pointed out that the occupation knows that his age on this land is close to completion, so he resorted to attempts to devote his presence on the ground by the Judaization of the holy city and repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque, noting that the correct historical accounts did not prove any right to the Jews in Jerusalem or in any inch of the blessed land of Palestine, referring to the resolution of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization “UNESCO” in particular, which was issued on October 18 last year and recognized the absence of a historic Jews in Palestine and The Al-Aqsa Mosque is a place of worship for the Muslims and no connection to the Jews.

   He denounced the US Congress’s intention to participate in the celebrations marking the occupation of the city or what they call the “unification of the city of Jerusalem.” He pointed out that this is the first time that Congress has approved participating in the celebrations scheduled for June 7, In commemoration of this painful anniversary.

   He considered that the participation of “Congress” celebration reflects the American approval of the procedures of Judaization of Jerusalem, which is contrary to the laws of the United Nations and the resolutions of the Security Council, and necessarily means the adoption of an American position of Zionism in Jerusalem, noting that the celebration and the participation of the Americans in it would increase the political, financial, moral and logistical support for the occupation, which is important for the survival of the entity and its vitality, and correspondingly rejected by Palestinians from the national and moral side as well as religious and ideological.

   Bahr condemned the occupation government’s convening of its last weekly session under the wall of Al-Buraq, saying it was a clear and frank challenge to the feelings of a billion and a half Muslim nation.
