Chairman of the Arab Parliament Adel Asoumi on Monday warned of looming hazards from prospected re-eruption of confrontations in the occupied city of Jerusalem.

The whole situation in the region may escalate if the Israelis remain adamant on staging the "flags' march" Around Al-Aqsa Mosque, the parliament chairman warned.

Such a provocative step will lead to aggravation of the conditions anew, undermining efforts to restore calms in the region in the aftermath of the flagrant Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people, Asousi said,

Desecration of the religions' sanctities in the occupied Jerusalem incite sentiments of millions of Muslims and Christians throughout the world, he added.

Right-wing Israeli activists are planning to stage the march later this week.
