The French Consul confirms his country’s position in support of the two-state solution and condemnation of settlement activities

France reiterated its condemnation of settlement activities that are contrary to the principles of international law and threaten the two-state solution, confirming its position in favor of a two-state solution.
This came at the conclusion of a meeting held Tuesday at the headquarters of the Jericho Governorate, including the French Consul General in Jerusalem Pierre Kochar, the Governor of Jericho and Al-Aghwar, Secretary of the Revolutionary Council of Fatah Majid Al-Fatiani, and Jamal Rajoub Deputy Governor and a number of staff of the French Embassy.
The Consul General affirmed France’s position in support of the two-state solution and his country’s condemnation of settlement activities, which contradict the principles of international law and threaten the two-state solution.
He added that France is interested and working with friends in the international community to achieve peace in the region.
Al-Fatiani praised the French-Palestinian relations and France’s position in support of the rights of the Palestinian people and the two-state solution and the support it provides to advance the development process in Palestine.
