A delegation of "the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds" visits the Tunisian parliament

    Within the field visits of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds, a delegation headed by Mr. Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar visited the Tunisian Parliament where they were generously received by His Excellency the President of the Tunisian house of representives, Mr. Mohamed Nasser, who expressed his happiness to receive the delegation of the League and his support for its noble endeavor. And about the formation of the Palestine Committee in Parliament, which was raised by the delegation following up the efforts of MP Nasser Abdel Gawad, a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council and a member of the League, the President stressed that the idea has the consensus of various parliamentary blocs and will be implemented soon.
    During the visit, the delegation met with the “Tunisian Appeal” bloc, represented by its chairman, Professor Sofiane Tobal, and some of the bloc’s deputies. The delegation also met with the Nahdha bloc, represented by its chairman, Professor Noureddine El-Bahiri, and a significant number of the bloc’s members. The delegation also had a meeting with “Al-Hurra” bloc whose members expressed their readiness and willingness to support the Association’s efforts.
    During the visit, the delegation had a meeting with Sheikh Rashid Ghannouchi, leader of the Tunisian Movement Al-Nahdha, who also expressed his readiness to support the association. The delegation also visited the Palestinian-Tunisian Center where they met with a number of members of the Center who expressed their great happiness for the meeting. The delegation also met with the First Assistant to the Palestinian Ambassador in Tunis where they discussed ways of cooperation between them.
