Palestinian MP among several arrests reported in West Bank

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) launched at dawn Wednesday a large-scale raid and arrest campaign in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem.
The exiled Jerusalemite MP Ahmed Attoun and the leader in Hamas Movement Rayez Abu Warda were among many arrests reported during the pre-dawn raid campaigns.
They were both rounded up after IOF violently stormed and searched their houses in al-Bireh city before being taken to unknown detention centers.
Following MP Ahmed Attoun’s arrest, the detained Palestinian MPs’ number rose to 13.
The Prisoners Information Center revealed that two arrests were carried out in Hussan town, west of Bethlehem, while five others were reported in occupied Jerusalem.
Two Palestinians were also detained in Tubas and al-Khalil including the brother of al-Qassam commander Mazen Fuqaha who was assassinated by Israeli agents in Gaza Strip last month.
Meanwhile, large numbers of Israeli forces stormed Sabsatia town, south of Nablus, in order to protect hundreds of settlers who are expected to break into the town later today and to perform Talmudic rituals in the area.
Along the same line, a Palestinian vehicle was subjected overnight to a shooting attack while passing near Eliah illegal settlement.
