The chairman of the people’s committee to confront the blockage, MP Al-Khudari met with british delegation led by Director of the Ford Thinging Foundation, Oliver McTernan, in his office in Gaza City.
The meeting tackled means of activating the European role in facing the consequences of the Israeli siege imposed on the sector for more than ten years, in all sectors of the economy, education and infrastructure, and ways to overcome the dangerous and deteriorating reality.
Al-Khudari stressed the importance of the European role and the need to activate it to take its natural role in exerting real pressure on the Israeli occupation to end the siege.
He stressed that the siege is illegal, immoral and inhumane. He called for the international community to comply with treaties, resolutions and laws signed to prevent the violation of human rights, which is being practiced by the occupation by its blockade of Gaza and the escalation of settlement activity in the West Bank, Judaization Attempts and isolation of Jerusalem and the threat of Palestinians inside.
He called on the international community to support the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
