The German Parliament’s Speaker receives the Palestinian President and get informed about recent developments

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas held yesterday talks with German Parliament Speaker Norbert Lamert at the parliament headquarters in Berlin.
President Abbas briefed the German official on the latest political developments in light of Israel’s continuing to deny the international legitimacy resolutions and its continued implementation of more settlement projects at the expense of the Palestinian territories, as well as racist policies against Palestinian people.
He praised Germany’s positions in support of the Palestinian National Authority and the Palestinian people in various fields, stressing his keenness to develop relations between the two countries for the benefit of their peoples.
The meeting was attended by the secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Saeb Erekat, Deputy Prime Minister Ziad Abu Amr, Presidential Spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeina, the diplomatic advisor to President Majdi Khalidi and the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Germany, Khouloud Daibes.
