Deputy for the UN Farhan Haq calls Israel to respect the religious rights

    Deputy Spokesman for the Secretary-General of the UN, Farhan Haq, Called Israel authorities to the need to respect the religious rights of all, in commenting on the draft law which restricts the call to prayer.
   Haq added to reporters on Saturday: “We have to ensure respect for the rights of everyone including religious rights.”
   The Israeli “Knesset” has ratified by the preliminary reading the draft Law of preventing the call to prayer. The law states the prevention of the use of loudspeakers to pray in the residential areas in the period between eleven at night until seven in the morning, as the law imposes a fine between five and ten thousand NIS (between 1300 to 2600 dollars) for each violation.
