Arab League: consideration of Al-Aqsa as a holy place for the Jews is a serious development

Arab League stressed that the Israeli decision, which considered Jerusalem and Al Aqsa Mosque, “a holy place for the Jews” a serious development in Israeli policy toward the Islamic holy sites.
The league said in a news release yesterday that the decision to so-called “Magistrate’s Court” of the occupation authorities, reflects a clear Israeli trend to expand the scope of the violations.
It pointed out that the occupation authorities continue to implement its aggressive plans against the occupied city of Jerusalem and Al Aqsa Mosque, in an accelerated vigorous attempts to Judaize every inch of the holy city.
It also demanded the international community to move quickly to ensure the protection of Christian and Muslim sanctities; and especially Islamic ones in Al-Aqsa Mosque, and forcing “Israel” as an occupation force to retreat from its plans. “
The Arab League emphasized that the occupation targets through its decisions, the Judaization of Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories, and the targeting of Al-Aqsa, pointing out that the continuation of “Israel” in the legislation of these laws, and the targeting of sanctities, especially the Al-Aqsa, reveals a disregard for the rights of the Palestinian people and legislation and international resolutions that set Al-Aqsa being a purely place for Muslims.
The Arab League also renewed its emphasize that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is an Islamic holy site, and there is no link to the Jews with it according to the international resolutions; especially the resolution adopted by UNESCO.
The Israeli “Magistrates’ Court” has issued last Monday a decision which considered Al-Aqsa mosque a “sacred place to the Jews” and they have the right to pray in it, with no right to anyone to stop them from rising to what it call “the Temple Mount.”
