Legislative deputies discuss education issues in Jerusalem and other files with the Minister of Education.

A delegation of deputies from Jerusalem and Ramallah visited the Minister of Education Sabri Saydam this Tuesday in his office at the headquarters of the ministry in the city of Ramallah.
The Delegation of the House of Representatives were (the exiled from Jerusalem MP Ahmed Atton, and MP exiled from Jerusalem, Mohammed Totah, and MP Wael Husseini and MP Ayman Daraghmeh).
The delegation was also greeted by the Assistant Undersecretary for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Mr. Fawaz Al Mujahid, where the minister welcomed this visit, stressing that this ministry represents the home of all the Palestinians with the need for concerted efforts for the success of the educational process for future generations.
The House of Representatives discussed various issues, particularly Educational issues in the city of Jerusalem, especially the closure of schools in the city of Jerusalem, including the elite school in the village of Sur Baher, a neighborhood in Jerusalem, and ways to pursue this issue by the ministry and put it in the various international forums, as well as the subject of the demolition of some schools and raided by the Israeli decisions.
The meeting dealt with some observations regarding the Palestinian educational curricula, and raised the issue of acceptance grades in the Palestinian universities for students in the city of Jerusalem in particular in order to give greater opportunity for Jerusalem’s students in order to attend universities in front of the Zionist onslaught which try to spread ignorance and impose the Israeli curriculum. MPs also demanded to reduce the acceptance degrees to enroll in universities for the students of the city of Jerusalem.
They discussed the private schools in Jerusalem and the relationship with the so-called “Israeli knowledge” whether the subject of the curriculum or material support to them, stressing the need for such a purely Palestinian schools independent from the Israeli knowledge for not providing assistance to these schools.
