A POLISH MP CALLS ON HER COUNTRY'S GOVERNMENT TO INTERVENE AND SUPPORT GAZA

The head of the Polish-Palestinian Parliamentary Committee, MP Ewa Kołodziej, said that what is happening in the Gaza Strip is a human tragedy, and one should not stand negatively about what is happening there.
During a press conference at the headquarters of the Palestinian embassy in the Polish capital Warsaw, Kołodziej explained that she had sent an open letter to the Polish government to provide urgent medical aid to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, adding that the fighting had stopped, but the situation in Gaza as a result of the devastation was still present. More than 270 people died, including women and children, in the conflict.
"We, as members of Parliament, cannot stand silent in front of what is happening, and we would like to address parliament to restore calm and lasting peace to the region, and I call on the Polish parliament to engage in measures that would bring peace to the Middle East region, as Gaza without international support will not rise," she added.
