King of Jordan: the two-state solution is the basis of any negotiations between "Israel" and the Palestinians

    Jordan’s King Abdullah II discussed with members of the Senate and House of Representatives of the US Congress headed by Senator Roger Wicker, efforts to re-launch serious negotiations between the Palestinian and Israeli sides, stressing the two-state solution as an option to re-launch.
   King Abdullah stressed during a meeting held with the members in the Palace Hosseinieh last night, that the return of any negotiations between the two sides should be based on the two-state solution as the only solution to end the conflict.
   As reported by the official Jordanian agency “Petra”, the meeting dealt with the latest developments in the region, particularly the efforts to re-launch serious and effective negotiations.
   The meeting also discussed regional and international efforts to combat terrorism, as well as the Syrian crisis and the latest developments in Iraq.
   He Senator Wicker and his accompanying delegation expressed their appreciation for the pivotal role played by the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, in dealing with various crises and challenges facing the region, to achieve security and stability for their people.
  The meeting was attended by Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court, the Director of the Jordanian king’s office, and the American ambassador in Amman.
