COVENEY CALLS FOR ISRAEL TO BACKTRACK ON THE EVACUATION DECISIONS IN SHEIKH JARRAH

The Irish Foreign Minister, Simon Coveney, expressed his country's concern about the events that took place in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the threat of eviction in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied Jerusalem.

"We concerned by violence in E Jerusalem & threatened evictions in Sheikh Jarrah. Evictions & demolitions should cease. I urge Israel to reverse its decision on construction in Har Homa – settlements are illegal under int. law & undermine prospects for peace & TSS.," Coveney posted on his Twitter account on Friday.
