KUWAITI MPS REQUEST SPECIAL SESSION TO PASS BILL CRIMINALIZING NORMALIZATION

A member of the Executive Committee of the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds (LP4Q) and a member of Kuwaiti National Assembly, Osama Al-Shaheen, announced the holding of a parliamentary session to pass a bill criminalizing normalization with the Israeli occupation.
Al-Shaheen stated during a press conference that he and his fellow MPs requested a special session on Sunday, June 6, 2021, based on Article 72 of the Constitution to discuss and pass the law, pointing out that the timing of requesting the session is a reference to the anniversary of the issuance of the Amiri Decree which declared the state of defensive war between Kuwait and the Zionist gangs in 1967.
He expressed the denunciation and condemnation of the Kuwaiti MPs for the ongoing Israeli occupation attacks against the residents of occupied Jerusalem and blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, calling on the governments and parliaments of the world and the government of Kuwait to support the just Palestinian cause.
Al-Shaheen stressed the need to reject the occupation measures in "Al-Amoud Gate" and other gates of Jerusalem and support the steadfastness of Jerusalemites before the Judaization schemes, calling to strengthen the boycott of the occupation and its goods as a legitimate, humanitarian and legal duty. Shaheen called on the governments of the Gulf, Arab and Islamic countries to lead the boycotting countries "without neglecting this honorable duty and the overwhelming and lasting mandate of the people."
He pointed out that his colleagues applying for this session are Muhalhal Al-Mudhaf, Shuaib Al-Muwaizi, Faris Al-Otaibi, Dr. Saleh Al-Mutairi, Osama Al-Munawer, Dr. Hamad Al-Matar, Ahmed Al-Hamad, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Saqabi, Adnan Abdel Samad.
