LP4Q CALLS FOR INTERNATIONAL PROTECTION FOR JERUALEM & AL -AQSA FROM OCCUPATION & SETTLERS' ATTACKS

The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds (LP4Q) considers with extreme concern the ongoing attacks by the Israeli occupation against Palestinians in the occupied city of Jerusalem, the latest of which was the forcible expulsion of worshippers from the Al-Aqsa Mosque to protect the Israeli settlers who attacked the mosque last night.

LP4Q strongly condemns these attacks and provocations by the occupation forces and settler groups, and calls on the Arab, Islamic and International Peoples Councils and the Palestine Committees in the parliaments to take urgent action to stop and condemn these crimes and take a clear and strong stance on it.

LP4Q calls for the imposition of international protection on Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa considering Israel as an occupying power that bears full responsibility for the settler groups' attacks on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque which is a Muslim-only right.

What complicates matters further is that these attacks occur during the blessed month of Ramadan, which exacerbates the religious conflict in the region.
