A DELEGATION FROM LP4Q RECEIVES FORMER PALESTINIAN PRIME MINISTER

The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds (LP4Q), led by Sheikh Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, received former Palestinian prime minister and head of Hamas' political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, and members of the movement's politburo to discuss ways to support the occupied city of Jerusalem and the Palestinian cause, and to discuss developments in the Palestinian arena.

Among the recipients were: The Vice President of the LP4Q, and the Turkish Deputy Minister of the Treasury and Finance, Dr. Noureddine Nebati, and the Director General of the LP4Q, Dr, Mohammad Makram Balawi, the head of the PR Abdullah Al-Beltagy , and members of the executive body of the LP4Q.

Al-Ahmar stressed during the meeting the need to strengthen intra-Palestinian reconciliation and unity among the ranks to face the threats and Judaization plans of the occupation in Jerusalem, addressing the challenges Holy City suffers from, the most recent of which is the plan to demolish dozens of houses in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and the policy of systematic displacement. 

The meeting also discussed LP4Q's efforts to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque and the necessary working strategies at the national, regional and international levels, especially in the parliamentary framework represented by LP4Q.
