The Director-General of the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds (LP4Q), Dr. Muhammad Makram Balawi, said that the evictions, demolitions and confiscations decided by the Israeli occupation against Palestinian families in the neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah in occupied Jerusalem are a new crime that joins the long chapters of aggression against the Palestinian people and Jerusalemites in particular.

In a televised statement, Balawi said that silence over these attacks is an actual approval and complicity with the attacks of the Israeli occupation and an acceptance of the aggression. He called on the parliaments, governments and international institutions to assume their responsibilities and put pressure on the occupation and not allow this great crime and new catastrophe.

He called on the Jordanian and Palestinian governments to fulfill their duties and help the people of Jerusalem, and include this case in the International Criminal Court. He stressed that what is happening in the neighborhood Sheikh Jarrah is a dangerous development in the Judaization plans of the occupation and an unprecedented disregard for international laws and decisions.
