Parliamentarians in Nepal Demand Government Take a Clear Stance on the Genocide in Gaza

Members of political parties and civil organizations in Nepal have urged Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to abandon the policy of neutrality regarding the Palestinian issue and take a clear stance in support of human rights and a just peace.

During a meeting at the Prime Minister's Residence, parliamentary members called for a clear position on the genocide being perpetrated by the occupation in the Gaza Strip and for the repatriation of thousands of Nepalese workers in Israel in response to the ongoing genocide.

For his part, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli stated that Nepal supports global peace and justice, emphasizing that neutrality does not mean overlooking injustice.

On the occasion of the meeting, Maoist Center Secretary General Dev Prasad Gurung, Rashtriya Janamorcha Leader Durga Paudel, CPN (Unified Socialist) Secretary Sher Bahadur Kunwar, Revolutionary Communist Party Senior Leader CP Gajurel, Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal Foreign Affairs Department Chief Arjun Thapa, Progressive Transformation Movement activist Shyam Shrestha, and others participated in the meeting.
